I of course loved Tim Burtons interpretation because of Johnny Depp. But I also like how it gave the mad hatter more of a crazy feel. You actually understood how nuts he really was instead of just scared as I thought in the book. I also noticed how in Burtons film the mat hatter confronted Alice as she arrived where as in the book they tell her there is no room. I thought the March Hare and Dormouse were played well and I enjoyed how he kept it at these characters only. At the end of the scene the Queens people show up, and the mat hatter hides Alice, this also doesnt happen in the book. Burtons film was the first experience I ever had with Alice so I tend to lean towards this one in preference. The book does offer more detail and is different in a lot of ways.
